Please read this page before buying. We want you to know exactly what you are purchasing.
1. We are not Seiko
MODKEI is an independent watchmaking workshop. Our watches are NOT original Seiko products. They are not manufactured, designed, distributed, endorsed or warranted by Seiko Corporation, Seiko Watch Corporation or any of their subsidiaries. We have no commercial, licensing or distribution relationship with those companies.
2. What exactly is a “Seiko Mod”
A modified watch (mod) is a hand-assembled watch that combines a genuine Seiko automatic movement (calibres NH35, NH36 or others made by Seiko Instruments / Time Module Inc.) with external components —case, dial, hands, crystal, bezel and strap— made in-house or by third parties.
In other words: only the internal mechanism is an original Seiko component. Everything else is MODKEI's design, selection and assembly.
3. Warranty
Because the watch is modified, the movement manufacturer's official warranty is void. Seiko is not liable for these products under any circumstances.
Instead, MODKEI provides its own warranty covering the assembly and the correct operation of the movement. See the terms and the current warranty period on each product page.
The warranty does not cover: damage from knocks or drops, water ingress from use beyond the stated water resistance, normal wear of the strap and finishes, or handling of the watch by third parties.
4. Water resistance
The stated water resistance corresponds to the specification of the components used and is verified in our workshop. As these are reassembled watches, we recommend caution and periodic inspection of the gaskets.
5. Trademarks
Seiko® is a registered trademark of Seiko Corporation. NH35® and NH36® are calibre designations of Time Module Inc. / Seiko Instruments Inc. All trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners and are referred to on this website for descriptive and informational purposes only, to identify the component used in our watches.

If anything above is unclear, write to us before buying. We would rather clear it up than have you receive something different from what you expected.
